It was the first clash between the two arch rivals since the last year’s T20 World Cup, As in a thriller match, Indian team had registered a well fought five-wicket win over Pakistan team in the group stage of Asia Cup 2022.
Hardik Pandya was the man of the match with both bowling and batting of his side, as the Indian all rounder grabbed three wickets and unbeaten batting as he scored 33 runs off 17 balls and winning the match by style as hitting a last ball six.
Pakistan team best weapon at their bowling side, Shaheen Afridi was not playing due to an injured knee and many believed that had help Indian team to chase the target easily in the absence of Shaheen Afridi.
Last month, Pakistan fast pacer sustained the knee injury during the Test match against the Sri Lanka as was side lined for the rest of the tournament, Pakistan medical team believed that Afridi will able to recover for the Asia Cup 2022 but injury got worse and the pacer is still recovering from it.

After the match, an Indian fan had a interaction with the Pakistan fast pacer, Shaheen Afridi which went viral on various social media platform.
During the interaction with fast bowler Afridi, Indian fan can be heard telling “Aap nahi khele, achha laga. Bach gaye.” As seen in the video both player and fan shared a funny moment and posed for a picture.
Pakistan fast bowler, Afridi also met with Indian players including the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul as player discussed his injury and recovery process and wished him luck getting back on the field.
In one of the viral footage, Shaheen Afridi was having a chat with former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli and wished him good luck for his return to form.
In the upcoming match, Pakistan will face off struggling Hong-Kong team and this match will be the must win game for the both the teams to secure the fourth and final spot in the Super 4s of the Asia Cup 2022. The Qualifying teams for the Super 4s are India, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka.
