Watch : Mohammad Siraj abuse Mahipal Lomror during RCB VS RR! Does Virat Kohli have anything to do with it?

Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Mohammad Siraj was caught in the act when he jeered at fellow team mate Mahipal Lomror during their 7-run victory against Rajasthan Royals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. What Siraj actually said was unheard but it did seem like something vicious coming from the Hyderabad born pacer’s mouth.

For a fact we have had no shortage of angry one on ones between players in the IPL. From Sreesanth and Bhajji row to Virat Kohli Vs Gautam Gambhir, everything is fair during an IPL fixture. And these type of heated verbal altercations are expected during high intensity matches like these but this time two team mates got into it.

After Faf Du Plesis and Glenn Maxwell’s explosive innings, RCB were able to project 190 as the target, a total which has somehow become a little unsafe according to the current standards. Therefore, every run was as important as a wicket and Siraj became a little agitated when Mahipal Lomror’s weak throw pushed RCB away from a run-out possibility.

During the last ball of the 19th over, Dhruv Jurel struck the ball towards Long-on and the RR batter was looking for a double with Ravichandran Ashwin on the non-striker’s end. Mahipal Lomror picked up the ball while Siraj screamed for a strong throw but Lomror under pressure wasn’t able to have enough force on his throw.

By the time Siraj collected the ball, Ashwin made home safely. It made Mohammad Siraj angry like anything. Maybe the Virat Kohli effect has already started to show and one must expect a similar attitude while playing under Kohli’s captaincy.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore are now 5th in the points table following their 4th win of the season against Rajasthan Royal at home and up next they will face 8th placed Kolkata Knight Riders.
