Ankit Bawne in 2025 and 2026
In January 2025 the BCCI handed Bawne a one-match suspension for showing dissent. He had refused to leave the field after being given out in Maharashtra's Ranji Trophy match against Services in November 2024, which delayed play for about 15 minutes. The ban kept him out of Maharashtra's next match, against Baroda in Nashik.
In October 2025 Maharashtra named Bawne captain for the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. He then played for Maharashtra in the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
