Watch: A fan Enters Lucknow Ground To Touch Virat Kohli's Feet, Stops IPL 2023 Match

There is a sizable fan base for Virat Kohli all across the world. He frequently draws notice because of his numerous accomplishments for the Indian cricket team and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Even when he is engaged in a cricket match, he is constantly followed everywhere he goes. The same event occurred between RCB and Lucknow Super Giants’ Monday IPL 2023 match in Lucknow.

As LSG was chasing a 127-run target in the second inning of the match, RCB made a valiant effort. During LSG’s chase, a man entered the field and touched Virat Kohli‘s feet, and even hugged him. The former India captain complied as requested and shown no signs of annoyance. As due to the occurrence, the game had to be interrupted in the middle.

Speaking about the game, Royal Challengers Bangalore was held to a disappointing 126 for nine in an Indian Premier League encounter because to Lucknow Super Giants’ excellent bowling performance. Despite the opening partnership of 62 runs between Virat Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis, RCB’s innings never gained momentum.

In the middle overs, the spin pair of veteran Amit Mishra and youngster Ravi Bishnoi showed brilliantly with the ball to slow down the RCB scoring pace.

KL Rahul, the LSG captain, injured his right thigh while pursuing a ball towards the extra cover boundary, which was the final delivery of the second over.

Rahul walked off the pitch after failing to halt the boundary and seeming to be in a lot of agony. Krunal Pandya captained the side in his place.

With 62 runs in nine overs, du Plessis and Kohli gave RCB another strong start. Although neither of the openers were able to get going, they provided a base for the remaining batters to help RCB reach a respectable total.

While scoring 31 runs off 30 balls, Kohli didn’t appear to be at his best as he only hit three boundaries before being caught by Nicholas Pooran off the bowling of Bishnoi.

Anuj Rawat, a new player, didn’t stay long since he allowed Kyle Mayers to take a catch in the deep off Krishnappa Gowtham’s bowling. Dangerman Glenn Maxwell followed suit and was LBW to Bishnoi without much of an impact on the score.

Following the initial partnership between du Plessis and Kohli, the LSG bowlers brilliantly retook control of the game. The 16th over of the game was abandoned because of a persistent rain.

Du Plessis tried to escape the constraints by batting deep, but he was finally removed by Mishra in the 17th over, caught by Pandya. Du Plessis never gained the momentum he needed during his innings and failed to find the boundaries and sixes for which he is famous.

After then, Dinesh Karthik (16 off 11) made an effort to boost the ante, but it was insufficient. Naveen-ul-Haq, an Afghan fast bowler, finished with scores of 3 for 30 in the last overs after taking two wickets in two deliveries.
