Virat Kohli signs off 2019 as the number one Test Batsman  

 

Run Machine Virat Kohli has finished the year 2019 as the number one Test Batsmen and number two in the list of highest run-getters in the ODIs, displaying his supremacy in World Cricket.

Virat Kohli is sitting at the top of Test Ranking with 928 points, while Australian cricketer Steve Smith is at the second position with 911 points to his name. Despite showing poor performances in the recent two test matches against Australia, Kane Williamson has still managed to claim the third spot with 822 points.

However, the highlight of the year has been Australia’s batsman Marnus Labuschagne impressive performance in 2019. He has scored 1085 runs in 11 test matches this year, which has helped him gain the fourth spot in the illustrious list.

India’s Cheteshwar Pujara is at the fifth position, while Ajinkya Rahane is the third Indian to be featured in the list at seventh position with 759 points.

Quinton De Kock impressive numbers and two match-winning knocks against England in the recently concluded test has helped him to number 10 position in the rankings.

Looking at the bowlers’ rankings, Pat Cummins has emerged as the number one test bowler, claiming 902 points, while Neil Wagner who recently claimed 200 test wickets is at second spot (859) and Kagiso Rabada at third (832).

Jasprit Bumrah who has been out of the game for some time due to injury has remained at sixth position, while Ravi Ashwin and Mohammed Shami finished at ninth and tenth position respectively.
