PERSONAL LIFE
Utkarsh’s journey has never been easy, given the fact that the wrestler belongs to Kathwadi village where people used to mock a person who wishes to pursue his/her career in wrestling. Utkarsh’s father, Pandharinath Kale, is a farmer since his childhood. Hard work on fields & lifting weights gradually made his father’s body rigid. Vaishali Kale, his mother, also did help Utkarsh’s father in the fields. Utkarsh used to go to the wrestling battles in his village. He developed an interest in wrestling from those battling grounds. He began wrestling out of fun and little did he know one day he will go on to become a professional wrestler. From the age of 8, he used to dream of a man with an exalted body.
Utkarsh’s father & cousins used to play wrestling, but none of them wished to pursue a career in the respective sport. Despite inadequate finance and facilities, Utkarsh’s family supported him. In order to encourage him, they sent him to Bhawani Nagar for his wrestling training. Utkarsh has performed excellently at every district & state level. When he was in the 7th class, the little wrestler earned a bronze at the National Wrestling event. Following his achievements, he got a golden opportunity to train under Wrestler Kaka Pawar at a Wrestling Academy in Pune. Under Pawar’s coaching, Utkarsh successfully won a gold medal in the Senior National Championship.
The contributions of Utkarsh’s parents, uncle & cousins have been precious in his life. It is all because of them that he has reached here.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Utkarsh Kale came to limelight after his stint at the Olympic qualifying round in junior group. In the event, he washed away Amit Kumar who is a speedy wrestler. His victory in the event also helped him to get selected at the Inspire Institute of Sports (IIS) in Bangalore. At this academy, Utkarsh underwent his preparations under Coach Ramadhar Yadav. He has also received a cash prize for his splendid performances from the former Chief Minister Sharad Pawar. Utkarsh has participated in the national competitions 2017 in Ayodhya. Utkarsh also plays in the Pro Wrestling League.
Although Utkarsh, who hails from Kathwadi village of Baramati, got a chance to compete at the 2018 Asian Games.
