Top Transfer Roundup:  The drama in the transfer market continues. Here are the top stories from the world of football today. 

  • Ayoze Perez to Leicester city 

The 25-year-old Spaniard is closing in on a deal with Leicester City. If the reports are to be believed, Leicester has tabled a £30million bid for him. Perez was signed by Newcastle in 2014 for £1.6million; he has been the top scorer for them in the last 2 seasons and with Rafa Benitez leaving, the club might look to cash-in on him.

  • Marko Arnautovic head to Chinese Super League?

The Marko Arnautovic- Chinese Super League saga has picked up pace yet again after the failed transfer last season. The Austrian striker is keen to make a move to China, where a lot of good players have recently moved in search of swelled wages. But West Ham has made it clear that they are not willing to part ways with their star player for anything less than £40million.  According to sources, an unnamed Chinese club had offered £20million but West Ham rejected it immediately. We will have to wait to see if an improved offer is on the way.

  • Neymar for Coutinho

Top Transfer Roundup: Neymar is eyeing a comeback to his former club and if the return of the Brazilian to Barcelona is confirmed then his national teammate Coutinho is likely to be used in the negotiations and may be on his way to PSG after Liverpool have shown little interest in getting their little magician back. Coutinho has been vocal about wanting a move away from Barcelona and it has been confirmed that he is no longer in the long term plans of Barcelona

  • Madrid eyeing Pogba for Bale 

After Paul Pogba announced himself available in the transfer market, Real Madrid has activated their plays as they eye the Frenchman to add more steal and creativity to their midfield. Although Manchester United have made it clear about not wanting Gareth Bale, Real Madrid are determined to strike a deal to send Bale packing. 

  • Helder Costa seals a move to Leeds United

Top Transfer Roundup: Helder Costa has made a move to Leeds United, on a one year loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The deal will become permanent at the end of the upcoming season but the fee of the deal hasn’t been disclosed.

Costa has agreed on a four-year contract, running up to 2024 and will see him become an integral part of Leeds United.

The 25-year-old Portuguese began his career at Benfica and has spent most of his career on loan. He then played at Deportivo La Coruna, Monaco and Wolves before now sealing a deal with Leeds United

  • Arsenal sign Brazilian teen sensation Gabriel Martinelli

While in pursuit of Wilfried Zaha and amongst rumors of Nabil Fekir, Arsenal have managed to snap up Brazilian teenager forward Gabriel Martinelli. 

Gabriel began his youth career with Corinthians after which he moved to Ituano youth team. He then showed glimpses of his talent to progress to the senior team from where he will now move to Arsenal.

  • Spurs add steel with Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham have got a prized scalp in the form of Tanguy Ndombele. The French midfielder is moving from Lyon for a club record fee of 60 million Euros. 

Ndombele has been a star performer for Lyon, where he helped the team finish third and has gone on to make a mark in Ligue 1. He flourished himself as one of the league’s best.
