Indian and Chennai Super Kings star batter Ruturaj Gaikwad, known for his impressive performances with the CSK in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has embarked on a new journey in his life. On Saturday, June 3, Gaikwad tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Utkarsha Pawar in a beautiful ceremony held in Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra.

The couple had been dating for a couple of years before deciding to take their relationship to the next level. Throughout the IPL season, Utkarsha accompanied Gaikwad as he played for CSK, and now they have sealed their love with a wedding celebration.
Sharing their joyous occasion with fans and well-wishers, Gaikwad posted the first photos from their wedding on Instagram, accompanied by a heartwarming caption: “From the pitch to the altar, our journey begins!”

The wedding ceremony was attended by several of Gaikwad’s CSK teammates, including Shivam Dube and Prashant Solanki. Additionally, notable cricketers such as Shikhar Dhawan, Rashid Khan, Shreyas Iyer, Maheesh Theekshana, Umran Malik, and Venkatesh Iyer congratulated the couple and extended their best wishes.
Gaikwad, who was initially expected to join the Indian squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final in the UK, chose to prioritize his wedding and withdrew from the tournament.
Utkarsha, Gaikwad’s now-wife, is also a cricketer hailing from Pune, playing for Maharashtra in domestic cricket. Although her last appearance was in November 2021, she shares a passion for the sport with her husband. Gaikwad, at 26 years old, had yet another remarkable season with CSK in the IPL. Forming a formidable opening partnership with Devon Conway, the duo smashed 849 runs together, making it the third-highest partnership in an IPL season and the second-highest for an opening pair.
