Let’s Unveil the Real Scene
During a recent YouTube interview show “Breakfast with Champions”, the South African superstar was asked by anchor Gaurav Kapur on his comeback in international cricket, to which he replied that he can consider a comeback if he is good enough and Dhoni is still playing.
Mr.360 revealed that he has faced huge criticism for choosing and picking crucial games played a huge role in his retirement. He admitted that he wanted to play World Cup 2019, but criticism and excessive mental pressure forced him to quit.
“I was keen to play the World Cup (2019) but I retired, so it was a very sensitive situation. For the last 3 years of my career, I was labeled as a guy who was picking and choosing when I was playing and when not,” Mr. 360 said.
“So I got quite a lot of criticism from back home which also played a role in me retiring. And it was difficult for me to then go: ‘Hey, but I’ll still play the World Cup’. You know, it’s the picking and choosing thing again. And it’s quite arrogant to do something like that. But as they say, you can’t have your bread buttered on both sides,” he further added.
There is no doubt he will be missed in the upcoming World Cup 2019, he will always be considered as one of the great. We wish me all the best for all the future endeavors.
