U MUMBA VS. PATNA PIRATES

In Match number 76 of Pro Kabaddi League season 9, U Mumba ended Patna Pirates‘ winning streak and handed them a defeat for the first time in 7 matches. With this win, the Maharashtra outfit have taken the 4th spot in Pro Kabaddi League season 9 points table.

Mumba played really well and won the match by a margin of 13 points. It took an emphatic Super Raid by Guman Singh (13 raid points) alongside raider Ashish who contributed important 6 Raid points.

But it was not just the Raiding department that got going as the defense equally supported for the cause. Harendra Kumar, Mohit, Rinku, Kiran Magar put together 12 raid points (3 tackle points, 3 tackle points, 4 tackle points and 2 tackle points) respectively.

Patna’s defense never got going as Sunil, Mohammedreza Chaiyaneh, Manish and Neeraj Kumar performed below par scoring only 7 tackle points for the team. Two of the strongest links Rohit Gulia and Sachin Tanwar did not join the party either with the former scoring 7 raid points and the latter won only 5 raid points.

Final score line at the end of full time was 36-23.

TAMIL THALAIVAS VS. BENGALURU BULLS

Second match of Day 32 Pro Kabaddi League season 9 featured a South Indian Derby between Tamil Thalaivas and Bengaluru Bulls. The latter ended the night with a positive result and secured the top position in Pro Kabaddi League, two points ahead of the second placed Puneri.

It looked like Thalaivas have found the combination and confidence after an unforgettable start to the season but they were rather unlucky tonight against the former champions. Narender Kandola – one of the stories of this season kept his form intact and scored a Super 10.

However, 10 raid points was also the number of points Ajinkya Pawar, Sachin and Himanshu Singh scored. Thalaivas seemed powerless in front of a clinical team performance by the Table leaders.

Bharat scored a Super 10 and he ended the night with 14 raid points. Neeraj Narwal kept their momentum rolling with his 6 Raid points while Sachin Narwal also added 5 raid points.

The defense was again their main asset with Saurabh Nandal bagging home 5 tackle points, Mayur Kadam added 2 tackle points and Aman 2 trapped 2 tackle points.

The final score line was 34-40.
