Tamil Thalaivas finally registered their second victory of the season against season 1 champions Jaipur Pink Panthers. It was a great turn around by the team who were missing marquee raider Pawan Sehrawat. 

Raider Narendar and Ajinkya Pawar combined 18 raid points for them to help Thalaivas seal a comfortable victory. Tamil Thalaivas had a Raid strike rate of 38.1% whereas the Pink panthers had 40.48% but still lost the match. 

Final score line was 27-38.

Haryana Steelers Vs. Puneri Paltan

The second match of the PKL season 9 matchday 18 remained a draw between Haryana Steelers and Puneri Paltan. Both the teams went toe-to-toe with each other and it was evident in the Raid strike rate as both had 47.37%

Raider Manjeet Dahiya and Meetu Sharma from Steelers were the star performers of the team as both ended with 8 raid points each. Meanwhile, Puneri raider Mohit Goyat scored the most number of raid points in the entire match as he completed his Super 10 and aided for his side’s draw by collecting 11 raid points

Final score line at the end of full time was 27-27. 

Patna Pirates Vs. UP Yoddhas

PKL season 9

The last match of the triple header saw Puneri Paltan defeat UP Yoddhas by 5 points. It was a very close game as both the teams played some extraordinary Kabaddi to stay alive but the Pirates had the last laugh. This fixture was also special because PKL’s most successful raider Pardeep Narwal was facing his former employers. 

He was able to hurt the Pirates defense as he completed his Super 10 and brought back 12 raid points. His efforts were not enough and other raiders Surinder Gill and Rohit Tomar could only win a combined total of 9 raid points

Pirates Raider Sachin was their best player on the mat as he successfully won 11 raid points for his side’s crucial victory. He received the support of All-rounder Rohit Gulia and Monu as both notched combined 10 raid points more. Patna’s defense was also very dominant as they maintained a tackle success rate of 41.67%, which was better than UP’s 27.78%

Final score line was – 34-29
