Patna Pirates Vs. UP Yoddhas

PKL season 9

The last match of the triple header saw Puneri Paltan defeat UP Yoddhas by 5 points. It was a very close game as both the teams played some extraordinary Kabaddi to stay alive but the Pirates had the last laugh. This fixture was also special because PKL’s most successful raider Pardeep Narwal was facing his former employers.

He was able to hurt the Pirates defense as he completed his Super 10 and brought back 12 raid points. His efforts were not enough and other raiders Surinder Gill and Rohit Tomar could only win a combined total of 9 raid points

Pirates Raider Sachin was their best player on the mat as he successfully won 11 raid points for his side’s crucial victory. He received the support of All-rounder Rohit Gulia and Monu as both notched combined 10 raid points more. Patna’s defense was also very dominant as they maintained a tackle success rate of 41.67%, which was better than UP’s 27.78%
