Vivo Pro Kabaddi league season 9 resumed after a day’s gap and matchday 13 brought triple panga with U Mumba and Haryana Steelers starting the proceedings. Mumba stole the match from the hands of the Steelers by a gap of only 1 point to take the 6th position in the points table.

The second match of day 13 saw another closely fought match between Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriors. The Paltan were able to seal a 2 point victory thanks to a defensve master class from Fazel Atrachali (6 raid points) and Sambhir (5 raid points) as both shared 11 tackle points between them.

Puneri Paltan are now on a three match winning streak and climbed up to the third spot with 19 points. Meanwhile one time champions Bengal Warriors have dropped to the 4th spot and it was also their second defeat in a row.

Aslam Inamdar was the highest scoring raider for Pune with 5 raid points, Mohit Goyat brought back 4 raid points and Akash Shinde won 2 raid points. Bengal captain Maninder Singh contributed 6 raid points on his behalf but he didn’t receive support from other raiders. The defense did support him but in the end it was not enough.

The final of the triple header saw Patna Pirates defeat reigning champions Dabang Delhi and end their winning streak of 5 matches this season. This was also Patna’s first win this season and they will be happy to end their drought.

All-rounder Rohit Gulia completed his Super 10 and contributed 13 raid points for the team. His team mate Sachin took 9 raid points and the defense chalked up 5 tackle points.

Meanwhile, Delhi would be disappointed to lose the match as they were close to yet another emphatic win. Naveen Kumar did play his part by collecting 13 raid points and also completed his 6th Super 10 of the season.
