Pro Kabaddi League organizers Mashal Sports, has finally released the final part of the schedule of the play-offs and finals of the ongoing PKL season. During the pandemic Pro Kabaddi League is the only league that has been conducted indoors with proper safety guidelines.
The final of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League is scheduled to be played on Friday, 25 February, 2022 whereas, the two play-off matches are scheduled to 21 and 23 February. Six of the twelve teams will qualify for the play-offs with a motto to lift the PKL trophy.
CEO of Mashal Sports Anupam Goswami recently said that:
“We have been able to conduct the league day-on-day with no break – this is a huge achievement and milestone, not just for Kabaddi but for the resumption of all indoor and contact sports”.
“PKL Season 8 has also seen tough competition amongst teams with the race to the playoffs set do go down to the final day of the league stage. I would like to wish the best of luck to all the teams as they fight for their spot at the top of the points table and secure their chance of winning the season.” he further added.
The leading Pro Kabaddi League winners Patna Pirates have qualified for the knockouts with 1 game still left to play. Puneri Paltan has won PKL titles for three times in Season 3, 4 and 5.
Dabang Delhi and Patna Pirates are the two favourites who could win the title this season, as Patna Pirates have qualified already with 1 game still left to play. Patna Pirates have most number of wins this season including 15 wins out of the 21 matches that they have played till now. Dabang Delhi has the second highest number of wins this season; they have won 11 out if 21 matches. The two inform teams are surely the only 2 contenders who could win the title this season.
