Star defender Nitesh Kumar, who scored 100 tackle points in Pro Kabaddi Season 6, has been finally rewarded for carrying the team on his shoulders as he has been named the captain of UP Yoddha for Pro Kabaddi Season 7.

“UP Yoddha’s team captures the warrior spirit of Uttar Pradesh and its players are ready to give their blood, sweat and tears in the battlefield. Nitish Kumar will be the captain of this side this season,” Team UP Yoddha said.
UP Yoddha made its debut in Pro Kabaddi Season 5 and since then, has made its place in two consecutive playoffs in 2017 and 2018 respectively, but lost in the eliminator round, missing the final by just one match.
Facing the formidable combination of Monu Goyat, Rishank Devadiga and Shrikanth Jadhav will be a nightmare for any opposition and a treat for kabaddi fans. The side will play its first match of Pro Kabaddi Season 7 against Bengal Warriors on July 24.
Pro Kabaddi Season 7 will start from 20th July 2019 and the finale will be played on Nitesh Kumar. A total of 12 teams will participate in India’s biggest professional kabaddi league.
