Neha Aggarwal Biography: The Table Tennis player from the capital of India, Neha Aggarwal, was lucky to live a life that most athletes from India can only dream of that is to “represent India at the Olympics”.

Although the TT player has retired from the sport, still Table Tennis remains very much close to her heart and as a professional player, she always hoped to grow TT’s popularity all over the world.

EARLY LIFE

Neha Aggarwal started playing table tennis at the age of 8.

She decided to play TT after watching her brother winning a silver medal at the Delhi State Ranking Tournament in the junior category in the same sport.

After finding her interest in table tennis, Neha’s parents made sure to provide her proper training to sharpen her skills.

From her initial stage, Neha was really determined and her passion took her to great heights.

Neha Aggarwal was born on 11th January 1990 in Delhi, India. Her brother, Vishal Aggarwal was also involved in the same sport and he is the sole reason why Neha chose TT out of all other sports.

Soon after discovering her passion for the sport Neha’s parents enlisted her to professional table tennis coaching.

Neha completed her schooling from the Delhi Public School and further finished her graduation from St. Stephen College, University of Delhi.

In order to imbibe herself with required skills, the Indian player shifted to the U.S to pursue M.A in Sports Management at the Columbia University.

On 9th December 2017, Neha Aggarwal tied knot with the businessman & former International Table Tennis player, Shubham Sharma in Hua Hin, Thailand.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE

In 2008, Neha Aggarwal was the only Indian woman to compete in the Women’s Singles at the Summer Olympics.

Aggarwal secured her place at the Olympics after defeating Mouma Das & Poulomi Ghatak.

The Delhi based TT player also won at the Junior National Table Tennis Championship in Ahmedabad & Kolkata. Although she didn’t earn a medal at the championship as she lose to Jiang Fang Lay from China.
