Naganathan Pandi Early Life
Naganathan Pandi was born on April 23, 1996, in Tamil Nadu to a middle-class family. He made a lot of sacrifices to succeed because he comes from a poor household. He used to practice without shoes occasionally. He never broached the subject of his financial situation though. He avoided discussing it with his mother, father, and other family members. He is the police constable in the Tamil Nadu Police department.
Naganathan Pandi Professional Life
He began playing sports at a very young age. He has previously participated at both the high school and collegiate levels. However, several professionals gave him the advice to pursue this subject after recognizing his aptitude. He then started his journey by winning the gold medal in the All India Police Championships in 2020 setting the timing of 46.61s. Pandu established himself as one of the top track athletes in India.
The biggest moment of his life arrived when he got the opportunity to represent India in the 2020 Tokyo summer Olympics. He won the silver medal at the Federation Cup in 2021 with a time of 46.09s.
The year 2022 turned out to be very fruitful for Pandi as he won the gold in the Indian Grand Prix in Thiruvanthapuram with a time of 47.38S. He added to his medal tally by winning the silver medal at the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships. Pandi competed in the 7th International Sprint & Relay Cup in Turkey to bring home the bronze medal an ideal preparation for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
