Lionel Messi, Mbappe score as PSG thrash Lille 5-1 in Ligue 1

Lionel Messi has done a great job during the last PSG match against LOSC Lille, as he scored a goal in the 38 minute and also assisted a goal in the 5-1 victory over LOSC.

PSG winger Angel Di Maria scored the first goal in the first 15 minutes of the game, and after that Messi and Mbappe joined him with their clinical performance throughout the match.

During the post match conference PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino said: “I had no doubts, Leo is the best player in the world” further he added Like anyone, he needs time to adopt. He needed time to recover his best physical shape after a month without playing because of Covid. It’s important that Leo shows such participation and commitment.”

Since the start of the campaign Messi has just scored two goals with both coming in League 1. The first of the two goals came against FC Nantes in November last year, while the second goal came yesterday on Sunday against Lille.

Kimpembe, Mbappe, Messi, and Pereira helped the team win last night as they all scored a goal each with Pereira scoring 2 goals.

In the 2021-22 campaign, PSG is leading the season with 17 wins out of 23 matches and 13 points lead over Marseille.

After the recent PSG victory, now all eyes are on the match against Real Madrid which is to be played on Wednesday, 16 February. Mbappe has been in contact with Real Madrid for a long time as it is expected that he might sign a deal in the future with Real Madrid.
