Let’s take an elaborate glance on how things progressed on Match day 7 of the RKL season 2 and the fixtures for Game Day 8

In just 2 days we will be getting the deserving Champions of the Real Kabaddi League season 2. The tournament is providing an ample platform to the homegrown players who have the potential of playing Kabaddi at the highest level and every player has grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

With the Finale staged to go down on 30th of September, all the teams will be hoping to put up top-drawer performances in the last two match days in an attempt to secure a Top 4 finish. But before that, let’s find out the results from Yesterday’s fixtures.

The first match saw the Mewar Monks pick up a comfortable win against the Bikana Riders by 63-58. The Monks were coming into this fixture after losing 2 straight matches but they will be satisfied by their outstanding execution of the plans and strategies. Though, the Riders lost the match by just 5 points, they did have some bright moments in the match but their defense was brutally destroyed by Monks Raider Jatin Sharma as he collected a total of 35 Raid points and became the man of the match for the same.

In the second match, the Chambal pirates’ lopsided strugglers Aravali Eagles by a commanding margin of 28 points. Despite trailing by just 4 points at the end of the first-half, the Aravali eagles dramatically fell behind in second half. With this loss, the Eagles’ hope for securing a top 4 finish is almost over. The match ended with a score line of 57-29 and Raider Deepak Malik from Chambal received the man of the match award for picking up 17 Raid points.

The Defending champions Shekhawati Kings eased past the Warriors from Jodhana in the third match of the evening. The Kings have now stretched their winning run to 3 matches and after making a slow start to the season they have gained momentum as they are one of the favorites to finish in the Top 4. The final score line at the end of the regulation time was 35-48 and Shekhawati Raider Happy Dahiya was the man of the match as he notched a total of  13 Raid points.

The final match of the evening witnessed the Jaipur Jaguars pick up yet another dominating victory against Bikana Riders by 43-26. Throughout this season the Jaguars have outclassed almost every opponent as they have lost only once until now. They have projected themselves as the favorites to win the tournament this season. Jaipur Raider Hardeep Malik was under the spotlight after collecting 9 Raid points and bagged the man of the match award.

Today’s Fixture

At 5 PM, Singh Soorma will battle it out against Mewar Monks in the first match. Both the teams won their last matches and they will hope to do the same tonight. The next match will feature table toppers Jaipur Jaguars and bottom side Aravali Eagles. The Eagles will be desperate to win this match as they have remained winless in their last 5 matches but they are against a very tough opponent that knows how to dominate a game.

The third match of the evening will start from 7:00 PM onwards between Bikana Riders and Chambal Pirates. The pirates picked up a dominating victory in their last game while the Riders had to suffer a defeat in their last fixture. The final match of game day 8 will see Singh Soorma play their second match of the evening and they have a good chance of solidifying their position in the top four as they will face Jodhana Warriors.
