For the first time in his career, the tall raider from Sri Lanka named Aslam Saja Thambi will play on the biggest Kabaddi stage. When he guided the Lankan Lions to the bronze medal at the 2016 Asian Junior Kabaddi Championship in Iran, Aslam gained notoriety on the international stage.

Aslam Thambi competed for the national team at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and had a crushing victory over Thailand during the group round.
