This year marks the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and it’s already been a whirlwind. The IPL 2024 is underway, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) winning the season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the full schedule for IPL 2024. According to the schedule, the Eliminator and Qualifiers will be played in Ahmedabad and Chennai, while the Final will be held in Chepauk.

In IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings have a new skipper in Ruturaj Gaikwad, taking the reins from the legendary MS Dhoni. Royal Challengers Bangalore even got a name change, and became Royal Challengers Bengaluru. And Hardik Pandya’s trade to Mumbai Indians and captaincy role has stirred emotions amongst both his former and current fan bases.
This season, teams will play each team from the opposite group twice during the group stage, while facing their group-mates only once. This means double the excitement for cross-town rivalries.
