Indian legends to take the field to create awareness for road safety

Cricketers around the globe have taken the initiative to spread road safety among the people of the world. A tournament is set to be organized in this regard, in which many big players are reportedly going to take part. The Indian Legends, the Indian team for the tournament, has released their 12-man squad for the tournament.

According to a report by the Times of India, Sachin Tendulkar will captain the India Legends for the tournament. The batting department boasts of the likes of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan. The pace bowling has a special line-up with Munaf Patel, Ajit Agarkar, Irfan Khan, and Zaheer Khan.

A total of five nations including Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka West Indies, and India are going to take part in the upcoming Road Safety World Series. The much-awaited T20 series will begin on March 7 with matches being played in Mumbai and Pune. Many legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara are taking part in it.

Earlier, Ravi Gaekwad, the RTO chief of Mumbai had said that the fans have shown lots of excitement towards the tournament. He is expecting the fans to come in droves to watch the games in the stadiums. According to the schedule of the tournament, released a few days ago, the opening game will be played between Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends and Brian Lara’s West Indies Legends on 7th of March at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium
