Indian Batting line up Unresolved Issue of No. 4 Ahead of ICC World Cup 2023 Continues
The Indian batting lineup is certainly one of the strongest in the world. However, ahead of the ICC World Cup Indian team is not able to find a battery for the No. 4. Previously Shreyas Iyer was doing a good job at the No. 4 spot, but due to injuries, his place is not certain. Now it is going to be interesting to see who is going to replace Shreyas Iyer, or if will he be able to make a comeback to his position.

Possible replacements
Two players who are having the highest chances to take the no. 4 are Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul. These two players certainly have the ability to act as a pillar at no. 4. However, it is going to be a tough call between them.
- Suryakumar Yadav can be selected on the basis of his T20I stats because he is a champion of that version of the game. However, his ODI stats have been a bit disappointing, because he has scored only with the average of 24. Selected would need to make a choice between his current T20 form, or ODI records.
- On the Other hand, KL Rahul is certainly having the most deserving statistics. He has scored lots of runs in ODIs, and his batting average is over 45. However, his current form is a matter of concern. That is something that is certainly going to be considered by the selectors before taking the decision.
Shikhar Dhawan’s point of view
Shikar Dhawan has been ignored by the selectors in the recent ODI picks. However, still he is there to give his suggestions for the benefit of the team. As per Dhawan, Suryakumar Yadav is going to be the best batter at no.4 among all the players ICC World Cup 2023.
