Ind Vs NZ 2019 1st ODI – Team India has opened his account with a victory in New Zealand, they won the first ODI against New Zealand by 8 wickets. New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat, but the decision totally backfired and the team was dismissed at a paltry score of 157 runs in Napier.

The pitch assisted seamers in the first ten overs to which Mohammad Shami obliged by taking 3 early wickets exposing the New Zealand middle order. Later on, the spin trio ( Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzwendra Chahal, and Kedhar Jadhav) exploited the New Zealand middle order weakness against the spin and wrapped the innings in the 38th over of the match.

Ind Vs NZ 2019 1st ODI:- Kane Williamson was the lone breadwinner for New Zealand scoring 64 runs off 81 balls but got trapped to Kuldeep Yadav magical delivery. India, on the other hand, started off the innings in a spanking fashion taking the attack to the opposition. Shikhar Dhawan looked in ominous touch, but Rohit looked uncomfortable at the crease from ball one and after scoring scratchy boundary lost his wicket to Bracewell at 11 runs.

Shikhar Dhawan steadied the ship along with skipper Virat Kohli ensuring no other wicket casualty occurs. Both put on the partnership of 91 runs before Virat Kohli departed at 45 with only 26 runs required to win the match. Virat Kohli also surpassed Brian Lara record of 10,405 runs entering the elite league of top 10 highest run grossers in ODI.

Shikhar Dhawan remained not out throughout the innings and scored the match-winning 75 runs.  During the blistering knock, he also scored 5000 ODI runs in 118 matches equaling Brian Lara record. Only Virat Kohli is ahead of him who took 114 matches to register 5000 runs.
