IND Vs NZ 3rd ODI Series clinched! The Blues aiming for another Whitewash in 2023

Team India are experiencing a very good time in ODI cricket in 2023. They first welcomed Sri-Lanka at home for a 3-match ODI series and the team under Rohit Sharma whitewashed the Lankans to kick start they year in the best way possible.

Up next were the Kiwis, who have always been a tough opponent for the Asian giants especially in ICC tournaments. The Blackcaps much like India were high on momentum following a successful tour of Pakistan. But that did not faze the hosts at all.

When you have your Top-order sorted there isn’t much to fear. India’s strength at the top is only getting stronger. With Shubhman Gill proving to be a reliable option alongside Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also regaining their form, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav/Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya are also capable of providing the finishing touches.

The main concern remains in the bowling department but their performance in the last match suggests otherwise. It could be the pitch or an improved line-length by the bowlers but if they remain consistent, then the World cup at home will be a huge success.

In the 1st ODI, India struggled to defend a mammoth total of 350 but their dominance in the following match at Raipur was an example for how this bowling line-up will perform in favorable conditions.

Today when both the teams lock horns with each other at Holkar Stadium, Indore, the Kiwis will have redemption and pride on their mind and India will be aiming for their 2nd ODI series win of 2023. After its conclusion, it will be time for a match T20I series from 27th January and then the “Ultimate Test” at the Border-Gavaskar trophy will begin.

Can India remain undefeated this year?
