IND Vs AUS 2nd Test : Hosts take the lead by 2-0 enroute Jadeja’s 7-wickets!

Almost half of India's job is done at the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The target is to win the test series by at least 3-1 in order secure ICC World Test Championship final qualifications and India are already up by 2-0. The Hosts registered a famous victory out of nowhere to win the Arun Jaitley Stadium Test by 6 wickets. The Aussies had originally opted to bat first after winning the toss and posted a safe 1st Inning total of 263 runs. Usman Khawaja's 81 off 125 and Peter Handscomb's 72 off 142 helped the visitors reach a respectable total after a middle-order collapse which saw Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head get out for 0, 18 & 12. After Australia were bowled out, India took the crease for the 2nd innings with in form Rohit Sharma and out of form KL Rahul taking the guard. On Day 2, both the openers were sent back to the pavilion but Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja stood for a partnership before the former got out for 44.  Jadeja was gone soon as well and then Axar patel's 74 and Ravi Ashwin's 37 helped Indi trail by just one run as they were bowled out for 262. In the Australian 2nd Inning, Travis Head enjoyed his time at the top and was playing well but Ravi Ashwin once again spoiled the Aussie party as he nicked Head thanks to an excellent off-spinning delivery.  But what happened after that was something that no one had imagined. Ravindra Jadeja who was playing only his second International game after a 6 month Injury lay-off, took a 7-wicket haul to break the Australian batting line-up. Usman Khawaja (6), Marnus Labuschagne (36), Hndscomb (0), Alex Carey (7), Pat Cummins (0) and Nathan Lyon (8) were all sent back by Ravindra Jadeja, who also became the man of the match for the same.
