Whatever ball they bowl, whatever the field they set, batsmen still finds a way to smash the bowlers for boundaries on every single delivery.
There have been numerous moments in the history of CPL where teams have completely annihilated the bowling lineups to pile up massive numbers on the scoreboard. So, let us take a look at the list of highest scores that completely lit the stadiums in the Caribbean.

#5 Jamaica Tallawahs 225/6 vs Trinbago Knight Riders (2018)
On August 10, 2018, one of the most powerful men in the history of the game showed the world why he is so lethal on the cricketing field. Andre Russell singlehandedly took the match away from Trinbago Knight Riders after he completely destroyed a bowling attack that comprised of three world class bowlers like Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, and Shannon Gabriel.
Chasing 224, the Tallawahs did not start their innings on a good note as they lost five of their batsmen under the span of 50 runs. Everyone thought that the match is over for the team but Russell had different things in his mind. Russell along with Kennar Lewis stitched a partnership of 161 runs and took his team to the winning target. At that time, the particular score became the highest total in the history of CPL.
Russell played an unbeaten knock of 121 runs off just 49 deliveries, hitting 6 fours and 13 sixes. Meanwhile, Lewis played the role of an anchor and scored 51 off 35 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Apart from scoring plethora of runs, Russell picked up three wickets too.
#4 St. Lucia Zouks 226/6 vs Barbados Tridents (2018)
Just seven days after Tallawahs groundbreaking performance, St. Lucia Zouks (St. Lucia Stars from 2016-2018) did the unthinkable by breaking the record for the highest total in CPL history. Choosing to bat first, Zouks had an amazing start with opening batsman Andre Fletcher dealing in boundaries from ball one. On the other hand, David Warner lost his wicket without even opening his account.
Rahkeem Cornwall and Lendl Simmons fell in consecutive deliveries, making it even worse for the Zouks. When the team looked to be going toward a disaster, West Indies’ most prolific batsman took the charge of taking his team to a respectable total.
Kieron Pollard had an amazing partnership of 148 runs with Fletcher, taking the team’s total over the 200-run mark. In process, Pollard played one of the best innings of his career and smashed a century while Fletcher played an amazing knock 80 off just 52 balls.
Zouks posted a massive total of 226 in their quota of 20 overs, making it the highest total in the tournament’s history.
Zouks won the game by 38 runs.
#3 Jamaica Tallawahs 241/4 vs St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (2019)
Highest Scores In CPL: Tallawahs has always been a formidable side. With batsmen like Chris Gayle, Glenn Phillips, Rovman Powell and Andre Russell in their side, Tallawahs always had the firepower in their batting lineup to put gigantic totals on the board and they did exactly that on September 11, 2019.
Gayle opened the innings for his team and did what he does best – setting the ground on fire. The “Universe Boss” smashed boundaries from the word go and told the world why bowlers are scared to bowl against him. The Jamaican struck 10 huge sixes and 7 fours to complete his century and taking his team to a winning total.
Meanwhile, Chadwick Walton was the aggressive one in their partnership and scored 73 runs at a strike of almost 203. No bowler in the Patriots line up, excluding Alzarri Joseph, had an economy rate less than 11.
This was the second time that Tallawahs had made the highest total in the Caribbean Premier League.
#2 St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots 242/6 vs Jamaica Tallawahs (2019)
When everyone thought that Tallawahs has created history by scoring 241 runs in 20 overs, the team of St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots came out with only one motive in their minds – “to rewrite history.” With amazing contributions from the top four, Patriots was able to chase down 241 with 7 balls to spare.
Patriots won the game by 4 wickets.
#1 Trinbago Knight Riders 267/2 vs Jamaica Tallawahs
Highest Scores In CPL: The highest total in the history of Caribbean Premier League belongs to Trinbago Knight Riders. While choosing to bat first, TKR posted a huge total of 267 on the board against the Tallawahs, shattering all the previous records with much ease. Lendl Simmons (86 off 42) and Colin Munro (96 off 50) took the bowlers head on and smashed boundaries all around the park.
Even Kieron Pollard played a superb cameo of 45 runs off just 17 deliveries.
All the teams would be looking to topple TKR’s record in the upcoming season.
