“Sergio Ramos is absolutely remarkable.ย

Years ago we defenders had more chances to score, we’d often play in midfield. But in today’s day and age, in the 21st century,

Sergio is extraordinary. [Gerard] Pique scores quite a few goals too, but Sergio really is an anomaly.ย His goalscoring record for Real Madrid and the national team is remarkable.”

Sergio Ramos has scored in every single season he has spent at Real Madrid since joining in 2005 from the English Premier League giants, Manchester United. The central defender of the Spanish national team has also scored the equal 10th most goals for Spain with 21 in his 170 appearances, putting him only eight behind former Real Madrid legend Hierro on the goalscoring charts.

Currently, Real Madrid sits on top of the table in the Spanish league where they are three points ahead of their arch-rivals, Barcelona and securely 10 points ahead of Getafe. For the Ramos lead side, they will be facing Celta Vigo before a visit to Levante. After their games in the Spanish top tier, Real Madrid will be facing the familiar foe, Pep Guardiola’s side, Manchester City in the Champions League knockout game.
