4 more Full-centuries in ODIs will make him the only Batter ever to reach “50” 100s and he will continue to be key figure for India until he retires. Meanwhile, an intriguing story has come into the fore about an Indian pacer who made his debut in 2017.
As recalled by former Bowling coach of India – Bharat Arun, Hyderabad born pacer Mohammad Siraj had once told him about his desire to become like none other than Virat Kohli. Siraj who once irritated India’s coaching management had asked Bharat Arun to help him get to the level of Kohli.
“Siraj was Virat’s biggest fan. After the first season with RCB, he came and told me, ‘Sir, mujhe Virat ki tarah banna hai’. I think it was the hunger in him; he had seen what Virat had achieved. So, I told him, ‘Agar Virat ki tarah banna hai, toh phir uski tarah bohut kuch sacrific karna padega”
If we talk about Mohammad Siraj’s career so far, then he has become a regular name in India’s XI in all formats alongside Mohammad Shami. The Hyderabad pacer has collected 47 wickets in 17 Test matches, 38 ODI scalps in 21 matches and 11 scalps in 8 outings for India.
