Italian defensive midfielder Jorginho has become the latest Chelsea player to join a famous list of players opting to swap for London rivals Arsenal. For both Chelsea and Arsenal fans, it is not something new as players have done it previously.
David Luiz, Petr Cech, Willian, Olivier Giroud and many more players have been seen playing for both the London outfits and Jorginho will become the latest to do so. Not many expected this move to materialize as the Gunners were behind Moises Caicedo but Mikel Arteta has decided to go with his plan B.
Jorginho comes with wealth of experience in the Premier League and in the UEFA Champions League as well. He will benefit the current Arsenal team which is in red hot form and is on course to lift their first PL trophy in over a decade.
Arteta’s side seem fully focused on winning the English top-flight as the league leaders are 5-points ahead of defending champions Manchester City.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Italian midfielder becomes the 3rd January signing for the Gunners after Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior. The former Chelsea man will join Arsenal on an 18-month contract with an option to extend it for another year. The agreed fee is reportedly 13 Million Euros and Jorginho will under go a medical in the next 24 hours.
It will be a motivation for the UEFA Euro Champion as Arsenal are doing really well as a team but will his addition land a silverware for the Gunners?
