Despite going through a lean patch, Suryakumar Yadav continues to lead ICC T20 rankings

Star Indian Batter Suryakumar Yadav, maintained his position at the top in the most recent ICC Men’s T20I Batters Rankings, which were revealed on Wednesday. Suryakumar, who has recently struggled, maintained his position at 906 rating points on the ICC list, more than 100 points clear of Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan (798) in second place.

The only Indian batter in the top 10 is Surykaumar, who had a fantastic year in the format in 2022. In the series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka earlier this year, he maintained his strong performance.

The next top Indian batter on the list is former captain Virat Kohli, who is stuck at 15.

Arshdeep Singh, a left-arm pacer, is the highest-ranked Indian bowler at number 14, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, an experienced seamer, has plummeted to number 19.

In the list of all-rounders, Hardik Pandya is ranked second, trailing leader Shakib Al Hasan.

Shadab Khan has risen to the top spot among Pakistani bowlers thanks to Haris Rauf and his ten wickets in three T20 Internationals.

In the current T20I series against New Zealand, Rauf picked up back-to-back four-wicket hauls, earning Player of the Match honours in the opening contest.

The Pakistani fast bowler was ranked 12th in the T20I bowling rankings last week, just below Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi. Rauf rose five spots in the rankings to take up position 11 thanks to ten wickets distributed over the first three T20Is.

Ish Sodhi (620) and Shaheen (624) have also advanced by four and two positions, respectively, while others behind them have lost ground.

Prabath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka made the other significant change in the rankings, maintaining his incredible start to red-ball cricket.
