After a heroic world cup win at South Africa, the Girls’ in Blues will be presented today at the Narendra Modi stadium. India became the inaugural champions of ICC U-19 women’s T20 world cup and landed an ICC trophy for the first time in the country since 2013.

It were not the Men or the Women but it was a group of young and determined players who only had eyes on the prize. This world cup was also the first time a Women’s team has won an ICC event and they will have a shot at the ICC Women’s T20 World cup 2023, which again will undergo at South Africa.

A 7-wicket victory and a 7th heaven feeling for Women’s cricket in India. In honor of such mastery, the BCCI will organize the ultimate crowning of the team alongside legends of Indian cricket at the Narendra Modi stadium. The felicitation will start from 6:30 PM onwards before India lock horns with New Zealand for the deciding 3rd T20I.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah took to twitter to announce the event at Ahmedabad and there could not have been a better venue than the Largest cricket stadium in the World – Narendra Modi Stadium. The Apex cricketing body will also award the players and the support staff 5 Crore INR.
