The second women’s singles semi-final match will be played tomorrow between Magda Linette of Poland and Aryna Sabalenka of Russia. Magda is an unseeded player whereas Sabalenka is seeded 3rd at the Australian Open 2023.

Magda Linette started the season on a high winning the first round easily. In the second round match, she came from a set down and won the match. In the third round, she beat 19th ranked Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets and reached Round 4.

Her round 4 match was against fourth seeded Caroline Garcia whom Linette beat in staright sets. Finally, she beat 30th ranked Karolina Pliskova in the quarters to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2023 Grand Slam.
