Since the dawn of IPL, we have seen a number of platters emerging from every season. There is no doubt about the fact that some of these players went on to become one of the greatest in the IPL. However, there is always a debate that you cannot judge a cricket talent from T20 cricket. But, against all odds, IPL has given some exceptional talent to India and even to other countries of the world.

Shreevats Goswami (2008)
Shreevats made an important contribution with the bat in the victories of the RCB. He proved this title right by the next 13 seasons of the IPL.
Rohit Sharma (2009)
There is no need to say that this man totally deserved the title of the emerging player. He not only went on to get tons of runs in the IPL, he is also one of the greatest cricket of all time for India.
Saurabh Tiwary (2010)
Saurabh Tiwary was certainly the left-handed version of Dhoni. He went on to do well in the IPL and even got a chance to represent India.
Iqbal Abdulla (2011)
Iqbal Abdulla certainly was one of the most economical bowlers in the IPL. His IPL economy of just above 7 an over was truly brilliant.
Mandeep Singh (2012)
Mandeep was one of the best players of the IPL 2012. He went on to score over 400 runs in that season. That truly showed the skills he possessed.
In the later seasons, those who won the emerging player’s title award were Sanju Samson (2013), Axar Patel (2014), Shreyas Iyer (2015), Mustafizur Rahman(2016), Basil Thampi (2017), Rishabh Pant (2018), Shubman Gill (2019), Devdutt Padikkal (2020), Ruturaj Gaikwad (2021), Umran Malik (2022), and Yashasvi Jaiswal (2023).
