Zimbabwe Secures Massive Victory, Defeats West Indies in World Cup Qualifiers

World Cup qualifiers are going on currently, and for the associate members of the ICC, this is certainly as important as the World Cup itself. Because this is the tournament that is going to decide if they are going to be playing  the World Cup tournament or not.

Only two teams are going to qualify for the World Cup from the qualifier tournament. That shows that the level of competition is going to be really high. Zimbabwe went on to win by 35 runs against West Indies. This is certainly a big achievement and shows that Zimbabwe is having a big chance to make it to the World Cup.

• Zimbabwe was quite clear with their game plan. They made sure that they get a slow and steady start. For that they were able to maintain the opening partnership of 63. 
• Soon it was 73-2, and fans were expecting alot from the experienced Williams. He stood there for sometime, and scored 23 runs. However, much more was recruited from him. 
• Later on Sikandar Raza ensured that he gets good runs, and took his team to 232 through his 68 runs inning on only 58 balls. 
• At the end Zimbabwe was able to set the target of 270 runs. This was certainly a good total. 
• West Indies ensured that they scored quickly. They ensured to hit some sixes in between the innings. 
• When two wickets were in hands, West Indies needed 45 runs on 45 balls. 
• Soon, at 233 West Indies got all out, and Zimbabwe won the match. 

This is certainly a very exciting match for the fans. And one of the biggest wins for Zimbabwe.
