Yashasvi Jaiswal first Net Session With Team India ahead of WTC Final 2023

Yashasvi Jaiswal, the opening batsman for Rajasthan Royals (RR), participated in his first practise and was spotted during his training session before the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia at the Oval on June 7. He looked confident and composed while facing the bowlers, exhibiting his range of strokes and shot selection and looked confident during the session.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is getting married on June 3, had Jaiswal picked as a backup player.

In addition to talking with Ravichandran Ashwin, the 21-year-old was spotted adjusting his batting. Additionally, he was spotted getting batting advice from former Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Jaiswal hasn’t played for India yet, but in first-class cricket, he’s been a model of consistency with a perfect average of 80.21 in 15 games.

A century and a half-century were among the young player’s outstanding 315 runs in five matches during the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy season, which he scored at a rate of 45.

Jaiswal also had an outstanding performance in the recently finished IPL 2023, where he batted superbly for his club, the Rajasthan Royals, and delivered match-winning innings. Through his action-packed performances in the IPL 2023, the younster showed the world what he is truly capable of. He scored 625 runs in 14 games with an average of 48.07 and a strike rate of 163.61, totaling 625 runs.

The Indian coaching staff was visibly impressed with Jaiswal’s performance during the net session. Many Former Indian Cricketers praised the young batsman’s technique and temperament, highlighting his potential to make a significant impact in the future.

Team India’s opening batsmen in the high-profile match are set to be skipper Rohit Sharma and the effective Shubman Gill.
