Gujarat Titans amassed 227 for two against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2023 on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the fourth highest total this season. Shubhman Gill slammed an unbeaten 94 and Wriddhiman Saha a merciless 81. Saha and Gill batted relentlessly from the start, adding 142 runs for the first wicket in only 12.1 overs, breaking the previous record for the greatest partnership for any wicket held by LSG, who had eight bowlers in the attack but no relief.

The score was the highest ever for Gujarat Titans in the IPL since their debut last season, and it was also the second-best partnership for any side in IPL for any wicket. Saha scored 81 runs off of 43 balls by hitting 10 fours and four sixes total. While Gill started a little bit later, Saha continued to shoot for GT from one end.

Saha’s outstanding performace left Indian and RCB batter Virat Kohli speechless and he praised Saha’s performance. In addition to writing “what a player” and using clapping emojis, he posted a photo of Saha from the game on Instagram Stories.

Gujarat Titans also improved their all-time mark for the most runs scored during a powerplay during the game.

David Miller blasted 21 not out off 12 balls and Hardik Pandya scored 25 off 15 balls to help GT reach a high total.
