At the Wankhede Stadium on Friday, Suryakumar Yadav put on a display by smashing his first Indian Premier League (IPL) century during the game between the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. The top-ranked T20I batsman in the world outperformed Afghanistan and GT maverick spinner Rashid Khan by scoring 103 runs off 49 balls, including six sixes and 11 fours, to lead his team to 218-5.
After which, Yuvraj Singh, a former India all-rounder, praised Suryakumar for his 360-degree batting after MI’s innings ended.

Talking about the match, Mumbai captain and opener Rohit Sharma smashed 18-ball 29 in a 61-run opening pair with Ishan Kishan, After GT captain Hardik Pandya to elect to field after winning the toss.
Mumbai fell to 88-3 after losing Sharma, Kishan (31) and youngster Nehal Wadhera (15), but Suryakumar then took over and scored his first IPL century in yet another player-of-the-match effort.
In response, GT had the worst start imaginable, losing the first three openers (Wriddhiman Saha (2), Shubman Gill (6), and captain Pandya (4)) within the fourth over.
Gujarat Titans continued to lose wickets to Mumbai’s Chawla (2-36) and Kumar Kartikeya (2-37) tight lengths.
Rashid, who had earlier taken 4-30, helped Gujarat surge from 103-8 to 191-8 in response following the 14th over with his unbeaten 32-ball 79 and eight sixes.
