Watch : Ravindra Jadeja eyeball Heinrich Klaasen as CSK see off SRH by 7-wickets to 3rd in the standings!

During match number 29 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, Heinrich Klaasen and Ravindra Jadeja engaged in a brief altercation. The conflict began after Klaasen obstructed Jadeja’s attempt to seize Mayank Agarwal’s catch.

Soon after, Jadeja eventually defeated Agarwal with the help of wicket-keeper MS Dhoni’s acute stumping attempt. But the struggle between him and the Sunrisers wicket-keeper batsman didn’t finish there.

Agarwal’s shot nearly fell into Jadeja’s hands on the opening ball of the fourteenth over. The CSK all-rounder was unable to touch the ball because Klaasen was occupying his position at the non-striker’s end. But Jadeja made sure to express his annoyance.

With three wickets for just 22 runs in his four allotted overs, Jadeja led the way for CSK against SRH. Three significant wickets taken by the seasoned all-rounder helped Chennai Super Kings reduce Sunrisers Hyderabad to 134/7 in 20 overs.

With stats of 3/22 in his four overs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Jadeja, 34, was the most successful bowler for his side. He dismissed opener Abhishek Sharma (34), Rahul Tripathi (21) and Mayank Agarwal (2).

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of CSK, won the toss and chose to bowl. He started with the same lineup which overcame Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight runs in the match before.

In response, Conway (77 not out) scored his third fifty in a row after Jadeja’s initial 3 for 22 performance to set up CSK’s simple victory. The match was finished off by Moeen Ali and Conway with 8 balls remaining. This was CSK’s fourth win this year. By seven wickets, MS Dhoni and company destroyed Sunrisers Hyderabad at home. Chennai dominated the show, and Ravindra Jadeja and Devon Conway shone in their victory.
