Indian skipper Virat Kohli who faced an extreme criticism a few days before after India lost the ODI series against Australia. Many experts suggested that Kohli should not captain Indian team now and should continue as Batsman only and the captaincy should be given to Rohit Sharma. Kohli proved everyone wrong as India beat Australia in recently concluded T20 match to clinch the series on the Australian soil which speaks a volume about his captaincy.

However, he has achieved a new feat by becoming the first Indian skipper to win T20 International series in South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia. He has also surpassed the record of former Indian captain Ms Dhoni as under his guidance India won the series in Australia and South Africa but wasn’t able to register a series victory in New Zealand and England.

Talking about the recently concluded  2nd T20 match Stand in Captain Mathew Wade was given the responsibility in absence of regular skipper Finch who is suffering from hip injury lost the toss and Indian captain Kohli decided to bowl first looking at the past records of this pitch. Australian Batsman didn’t leave any stone unturned to score maximum runs in their 20 over quota owing to knocks of 58 and 46 from Matthew Wade and Steven Smith. Apart from Natarajan, no other Indian bowler enjoyed huge success as he was the only one who gave away 20 runs in his four overs and took 2 wickets. But eventually, Australia scored 194 runs at the loss of five wickets.

In reply, India got a solid start where Kohli and Dhawan batted well for their 40 and 52 runs respectively. But the actual heroes of the match were Iyer and Pandya who make sure India cross the line with their individual knocks of 12* and 42* runs respectively. They eventually sealed the series by 2-0 with the final match will be played on the same venue on Tuesday.
