Virat Kohli and his men managed to seal yet another series at home, this time against a top in form side. After suffering a humiliating defeat against Australia in the first ODI, India fought back strongly with all guns blazing and won back to back matches to seal the three-match series.
After another successful series, the Indian captain along with his wife Anushka Sharma visited Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri’s house for dinner on Sunday. Sunil and his wife invited the couple for a dinner at their home in Bengaluru.

The couple shared some laughs over dinner and Chhetri’s wife Sonam wrote a post on Instagram along with a picture with Kohli and Anushka.
“No phones (till we picked one up for this picture), no glance at the clock. Just four such different people speaking about everything under the sun. Was lovely hosting the two of you for dinner. You two are all kinds of wonderful,” she wrote.
Kohli’s wife also thanked the couple for the lovely day and asked to be not surprised if they visit their house without any notice next time.
“We had such a beautiful evening that don’t be surprised if we land up at your house uninvited next time,” Anushka said.
Meanwhile, Kohli and Rohit Sharma led India to an emphatic 7-wicket win over Australia in the series decider at the M Chinnaswamy stadium. Kohli scored 89 while Rohit scored a brilliant ton which made the chase all too easy for the hosts in the end.
The pair put a 37-run partnership for the second wicket which made it easier for India to overhaul the target without much trouble. After the vice=captain’s dismissal, the skipper stitched a 68-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer, who ended up with a quickfire 44 not out off 35 balls.
Kohli finished the three-match ODI series s the second-highest run-scorer behind Australia’s Steve Smith with 183 runs from the three games at an average of 61 and two half-centuries. Smith amassed 229 runs at 114.50 with one hundred and a fifty. Rohit was third
India will now head to New Zealand for a long tour, starting from January 24. They will play 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests against the hosts.
