Suresh Raina joins MS Dhoni, announces retirement from international cricket

India’s one of the best limited over’s player, Suresh Raina has decided to hang his boots and called it quits from international cricket minutes after Dhoni announced his retirement on Instagram.

He uploaded a picture with MS Dhoni on Instagram.

“It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!” He wrote in the caption.

Suresh Raina has not played any international match since 2018. He made his last international game in 2018 during India’s tour of England.

Suresh Raina made his one-day international debut against Sri Lanka in 2005. Once a vital cog in India’s limited over’s side, Suresh Raina was a part of India’s 2011 World Cup squad. He played crucial knocks in the quarter-final and semi-final games against Australia and Pakistan respectively.

In his illustrious career, Raina has played 226 one-day internationals, 18 Tests and 78 T20 internationals, scoring 5615, 1605 and 768 runs respectively.
