Sukhjeet Singh is staging a comeback after a battle with a life threatening injury 4 years ago then getting selected to the National Indian team and fixating his spot at the dressing room. Before the last FIH Hockey World cup, he sustained a vicious back injury ruling him out of the 33-men member for the selections.

However, he did not give up his dream and made an amazing comeback in the Indian hockey circuit. The Jalandhar born drag flicker started playing the game at a very young age of 6. He looked up to his father Ajit Singh, who was also a hockey player back in his time. His father insisted him to take up the sport seriously.

He learned the game initially at the Jalandhar academy and further improved his skills during his school time at Shivalik Public School. He received offers from various public sector departments due to his god gifted ability of Flicking and playing as a Forward. Sukhjeet Singh began his journey with Singh Bank, Punjab Police and Indian Oil before getting permanently signed by Punjab National Bank in 2017.
