Bharadwaz Sai Sudharsan , also known as SAI sudharsan came into limelight on national stage afer hitting a half -century for Gujarat Titans against Punjab Kings in an IPL game ,though his team lost the game . Belonging to a family of sports ,his father has represented india at South ASIAN(SAF) Games, while his mother Usha Bharadwaz represented Tamil Nadu in volleyball. Sai Sudharsan is a left -handed batsman and occasionally bowls legspin. He is a ardent follower of yoga and meditation which according to him keep him mentally fit . Her mother who is her trainer who have trained the likes of squash players like Deepika Pallikal ,Joshna Chinappa and cricketers like Abhinav Mukund , L Balaji. convinced SAI that he is in right hands .

EARLY LIFE

Sai Sudharsan is a left handed batsman who was born on October 15,2001, in Chennai ,India. Sai was a heavy scorer in school cricket and then started doing well for Alwarpet CC in the city league.He was noticed early and was taken in Tamil Nadu Premier League(TNPL) in Chepauk Super Gillies where he did not get a chance to play . In 2021 ,he got picked for Lyca Kovai Kings for Rs 21.6 lakhs more than what he earns at Gujarat Titans ,which bought him at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs . In 2021 ,he was the most expensive player in TNPL . Sai ,who is known to make a to-do list before matches is a regular at number 3 from his state levels.He was endorsed by likes of Ashwin and Sunil Gavaskar which has called him as a future star player.

CRICKET & STATS:

Sai is a seasoned player who have played significant number of matches across all formats at a very young age .He was a breakout star in TNPL 2021 where he finished as a 2nd – highest run scorer with 358 runs in just eight – innings at an average of 71.60. He made his debut in T-20 on 4 -NOVEMBER 2021,for Tamil Nadu in 2021-2022 Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy where his team was a champion. In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy ,he played with the like of Dinesh Karthik. He playe at number 3 and scored 35 off 19 balls against Maharashtra and 46off 31 balls against Kerala in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was good to watch for his scoops and sweeps . He made his Listn – A debut on 8 -DECEMBER 2021 for Tamil Nadu in 2021-2022 Vijay Hajare Trophy. In 2021 ,he was also picked in the Ranji Trophy Squad for his state .

SAI though missed out on making in India Under-19 World Cup Squad in 2020. But with his overall consistent perforfance ,it seems to that he have a bright future.

He also bowls legspin,though sparingly. He took a wicket against West Bengal in the 50 -overs Vijay Hajare Trophy when his team mate M .Ashwin was unavailable.

He scored 3 centuries in Vijay Hajare Trophy and scored 2 hundreds in Ranji Trophy , including one on his debut.
