Former Indian pacer RP Singh has endorsed young fast bowler Umran Malik, and claimed that he is very talented and skilled. RP said to CricketNext that ‘Umran will undoubtedly have his opportunities, but it will be intriguing to watch how he solidifies his position on the Indian team. He has a lot of talent and skills, but he also has to know how to use them, and that can only be learned via experience’.
Umran Malik plays the role of a fast bowler in Indian Team. The young pacer has made some important contributions while playing for Men in blue and has won over many with his speed in the few opportunities that have come his way. Till now, he has played just 6 ODI’s and 5 T20 internationals in which he gave impactful and impressive performances. Malik’s biggest ability is his fast bowling speed.
Malik made his international debut on 26 June, 2022 for India against Ireland. Malik was also named as the Emerging Player of the tournament in IPL 2022 and also took his first five-wicket haul in t20 cricket against Gujarat Titans in this season. Having such potential, Malik can give a new shape to team India.

Fast bowlers and pacers play a key role in a team and can change the momentum of any match. Men in blue also looks for the same to be a top class team including good batters as well as the attacking bowlers. Current Indian team consists of experienced pacers like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami. But, Umran can give a different pace to team India and could be a replacement for senior players in future. In terms of age factor also Umran can be a long term asset for team India as he is too young.
