Rohit Sharma will break Virender Sehwag’s all-time record, needs this many sixes

The two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh is going to start from September 19. The first match of the series will be played at M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. During the first test, Rohit will have a chance to break the all-time record of former Indian explosive batsman Virender Sehwag.

The record of hitting the most sixes in Test is held in the name of Virender Sehwag. He has hit 91 sixes in 104 matches. Rohit now needs just 8 sixes to break Sehwag’s record. He has hit 84 sixes in 59 test matches so far. The current Indian captain has also hit 452 fours in Test cricket so far.

Rohit Sharma has scored one double-century in Test matches. His best test score has been 212 runs. In his career so far scored 12 centuries and 17 half-centuries in this format.

Rohit Sharma has a chance to hit 100 sixes 

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is the third Indian to hit the most sixes in Tests with 78 sixes in 90 matches. However, if Rohit hits 13 sixes in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, he will become the first Indian to hit 100 Test sixes.

Rohit is the batsman who has hit the most sixes in international cricket. He has hit 620 sixes so far and is the only player in the world to hit 600 sixes. Rohit has also hit 331 sixes in ODIs, which is the most by any Indian. Apart from this, he has hit 205 sixes in T20.

Team India’s preparations for the first Test are in full swing. The Indian players have started their training since reaching Chennai. Under the supervision of new bowling coach Morne Morkel, Indian bowlers are sweating profusely in the nets. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar were also present during the training. During the practice, India’s Test and ODI team captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, who is returning to Test after a long time, and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah were also seen.
