Rishabh Pant Irresponsible Shot:- As India won the second T20 match against West Indies, the men in blue clinched yet another T20 series to their name with one T20 to go. But the worrying sign is Indian batters gifting their wickets after getting set.
Even Virat Kohli is struggling with the bat, the only shining spot is Rohit Sharma flawless batting, but one batter that was one firing line was Rishabh Pant, who has scored 4 runs in the last 2 innings.
Now getting out cheaply is no big deal, but getting out in same fashion and not learning from mistakes is a sign of worry. He really needs to put the price tag on his wicket. Arriving at the crease and trying to hit six of first ball can be called flamboyant, but cricket is game of Gentle”men” not Gentle boys.
Post his dismissal Twitter was in splits over his irresponsible batting and wasting yet another opportunity to represent him as MSD successor. Here is how Twitter reacted :-
Not defending Pant….but think about it—Dhawan got dismissed twice in an identical fashion. Kohli missed out twice after getting set. Pandey missed out too. But the discussion is around Pant’s dismissals ONLY. So much attention on a young player can’t be good…. #WIvIND

If Pant has to be Dhoni’s rightful successor, he’s got to learn to respect his own talent

Looks like Rishabh Pant hasn't had the much needed counseling session. Team chasing less than 100, plenty of time left. Is that the shot to play first up? Just awful. #INDvsWI

While India wins this and leads 1-0, I have to say I am disappointed with Rishabh Pant. Really want him to respect the game a little more. Conditions, opponents and value the opportunities he is getting. Talent without performance is nothing.

When will Rishabh Pant learn? 🤔#WIvIND

Pant is still trying to perfect the shot he played in the world cup semifinal #WIvIND
