PSG won’t be at their best : Thomas Tuchel ahead of Ligue 1 clash against Lens

French club Paris Saint-German gear up to begin their upcoming Ligue 1 2020-21 season against Lens. Their coach Thomas Tuchel said that they won’t be able to perform with the best of their ability as the team has not played any match since the Champions League Final which will make things difficult for them and they will need more matches under their belt to get their rhythm back in the upcoming season.

Their experience in Champions League final was not so good as they suffered defeat from Bayern Munich on August 24th. They have to forget about what happened in the last tournament they played before they start their campaign in Ligue 1 against Lens.

“They (Lens) played a very good first match against Nice, they could have won. They play 5-2-1-2, they play compact in the middle and at the back, their defence is proactive and physical,” the club’s official website quoted Tuchel as Saying.

“It won’t be easy, our last match was Champions League Final, it will be hard to get back into a rhythm right away, we will have to give our best on the pitch, but we won’t be able to do our best. It will be a tough match, and a tight one, we want to win every match, I have confidence in my players, we will do our best “ He added.

Recently three new coronavirus cases were found in PSG camp which includes the name of their star player Kylian Mbappe who was also tested positive for COVID-19.

Tuchel also talked about all 7 players who are tested positive for COVID-19 will create a huge impact on the team combination once they step up to play their match against Lens.
