Muhammed Anas Yahiya Early Life:

Muhammed Anas Yahiya was born on Spetember 17. 1994 in Nilamel, Kerela, India. Muhammed Anas Yahiya is an Indian sprinter and two-time olympian.

Muhammed Anas Yahiya did his schooling at NHM Nilamel School and later on, for his higher education, he went onto the Srikrishna College, Guruvayur. 

From an early age, Muhammed Anas was very much interested in athletics and later joined the style sports academy, Nilamel, and started preparing for the long jump and later moved onto the 400m category. 

In a school-level competition, his coach once asked Muhammed Anas as a replacement for a 400-meter competition. Muhammed Anas got selected for his school team in a 400-meter race and as result, he finished the race in 49 seconds.

Muhammed Anas Yahiya won many medals at the district level and state-level competitions. Muhammed won the gold medal at Junior National Championship. In 2014, Anas won a silver medal in a 400m athletic event at the Indian University Championship.

In the 2015 national games, Muhammed participated in the 4x400m relay and won the silver medal with his team. Later on, Muhammed Anas Yahiya joined the Indian Navy in 2015 as a seaman.

Muhammed Anas Yahiya Professional Life:

With his heroic performance in state-level competition, Muhammed Anas Yahiya made his international debut at Polish Athletics Championships 2016. He also broke the national record in 400m by making it 45.44 seconds in the Polish Athletics Championship.

In the 2016 Olympics qualification, he managed to time the same as his national record. He also became the only third athlete to qualify for the Olympics after Milkha Singh (1956 and 1960) and K. M. Binu (2004).

In the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships, Muhammed Anas Yahiya won 2 gold medals in 400m individual and 4×400 men’s relay team events held in Bhubaneshwar.

In the Asian Games, Muhammed Anas Yahiya won 2 individual awards in 400m and 4×400 men’s relay events. Also won 2 silver medals in 4400m men’s relay and 4400 mixed relay event.

Muhammed Anas Yahiya Commonwealth Games 2022:

In the last edition of Commonwealth Games 2018 held in Jakarta, Indonesia in 400m individual and 4×400 men’s relay events but unfortunately he didn’t win any medal. 

In the 2022 Commonwealth games, Muhammed Anas Yahiya will be competing in the 400m event and Indian fans have high hopes for the two-time olympian.

Muhammed Anas won the gold medal in mixed 4×400 m relays at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

In the 2018 Asian Games, Muhammed also won two silver medals in individual 400 m and men’s 4×400m events held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In the last edition of the Commonwealth Games, Muhammed Anas finished fourth in the men’s 400 m event.
