Michael Clarke backs this Indian player for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023

Former Australian Star Cricketer Michael Clarke, has counselled Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, and the team’s management to support KL Rahul, who is under criticism. It is important to note that Rahul’s recent struggles with the bat resulted in his being benched for the third Test against Australia. Only 38 runs could be scored by the player who took part in the first two games during the course of three innings. He has been replaced in the starting Eleven by Shubman Gill, who is currently on a good run with the bat. Clarke believes that the team management should have had greater faith in the player, though.

“KL Rahul is someone I adore. He is a wonderful young man and an incredibly talented athlete. I would fight for him if I were the captain because India is now winning. We are still winning, so even though he is not performing at his peak, we can afford to keep him on the squad right now “Clarke stated on RevSportz.

He added “He is a capable player, will work diligently in the gym, and will perform admirably for us. I believe he can retain underperforming guys for a little while longer if the club is winning. I shall therefore campaign for KL Rahul.”

Rahul hasn’t performed well with the bat in the longest format, but Clarke thinks he only needs a little luck to turn things around.

“You must have faith if India believes that KL Rahul would be one of their top players. Of course it’s mental; all you need is a little bit of good fortune. Rahul, in my opinion, is a superstar “Clarke stated.
