Josh Philippe Personal Life: Josh Philippe was born on 1st June 1997 in Subiaco, Australia. He was born to Steve Phillipe, who is a former Australian cricketer and also served as the coach of Western Australia Women’s side between 2006 and 2011. His mother, Leanne Phillippe, too was a former cricketer who played for Western Australia between 1986 and 1987.

Josh Philippe Cricket Career: Josh Philippe is regarded as the future star of Australia. He has been piling on runs consistently in the domestic cricket for a while. The Australia cricketer was the third-highest leading run-getter for the side. He scored 487 runs and played an instrumental role in helping Sydney Sixers won their maiden IPL trophy.

Ahead of the IPL 2020, Phillippe was bought by RCB for as many as 20 Lakhs in the auctions.  He will share the dressing room with some of the greats like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers etc.

  • Though his T20 debut was unimpressive, Philippe had a brilliant List A debut. He made his debut at the 2018–19 JLT One-Day Cup on 18 September 2018. He scored a run-a-ball 59 in that game.
  • He made his first-class debut on the 2017–18 Sheffield Shield, on 16 February 2018. He scored 74 runs in the second innings of this match.
